David G. Clark

Mr. David Clark has been the Technical Advisor to Richard Huesken since January 2020 and has been involved with IESBA since December 2016. A Partner at EY, Mr. Clark is the Independence and Conflicts Leader for the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region comprising 13 countries and is part of EY’s global independence network of professionals involved in public policy. He oversees independence and conflicts policy implementation, guidance and education for EY’s MENA practice, advising practitioners on the application of global independence policy, local regulatory independence rules, professional standards, and other related regulatory requirements.

Mr. Clark has been keenly involved with extensive ethics including international independence standards promotion and outreach over his 8 years representing IESBA, in particular with local authorities and regulators in the Middle East and North African region. Mr. Clark is a current member of the IESBA Sustainability Assurance Task Force, he is the Chair of the IESBA’s Technology Working Group (TWG) and is a former member of the Task Force for the Independence Standards related to Non-Assurance Services. Mr. Clark is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE)); and an International Certificate Member of the Institute of Risk Management (IRMCert.).
